Extensive experience acquired in the mechanical sector plus
on-going research into innovative products for various fields,
have allowed us to design and patent a new type of innovative
SUBMERSED AERATOR. The AS series submersed aerators manufactured by GIESSE provide an extremely flexible and versatile ventilating and mixing system for the sewage treatment industry. Conventional aerators have a single impeller to which air is conveyed by an axial nozzle. Pressure due to acceleration of the water entrains the air whereas in AS, there is a submersed aerators based on the pulsed ejector principle comprising a special double impeller which distributes high-speed water/air/water/air... pulses to a series of diffusers arranged in a radial direction. The GIESSE impeller (patent N° 1273874) made in a single block of AISI 304 stainless steel, consists of two coupled impellers. |

from dissolved oxygen and air bubbles, from below. CHIPNESS The aerators have a series of true diffusers whose section increases from the inlet to the outlet (not simple channels with the same section), where the kinetic energy of the water is converted into pressurized energy. Very little maintenance is required and can be quickly carried out, thanks to the diffuser, which is equipped with easily removable die-cast stainless steel tips (patent FI 2003 A 170). ![]() |
